Whitney Port  v. Olivia “the Social” Palermo

Monday night on the City, Whit found herself in a little situation. She and Olivia were asked to pull some looks together for the cover shoot for the March issue of  Elle.  Olivia was to take the lead and Whitney assist. The girls couldn’t agree on what to show. Whitney had her eye on a two piece jacket and shorts by Diane Von Furstenberg. Olivia wasn’t feeling it. They ended up including the outfit and when the outfit was a complete success, Olivia took the credit for pulling it!

One of the things I love about Whitney is how she carries herself. She’s always a lady. So, I was holding my breath each (I think it was four) time  Olivia took the credit for pulling the cover look. Whitney didn’t punch her in the mouth, but she did give Olivia a couple of dirty looks. And now she’s faced with the question of whether or not to out Olivia to their boss. Olivia better watch her back!

The Fab Five v. The Ambers

Tuesday on The Bad Girls Club the Fab Five jumped one of the Ambers. Somebody’s going home!

Angelea v.  Sandra

Tonight was the season primier of Cycle 12 of America’s Next Top Model. Who knew?  Anyway, two of the chics, Angelea (from NY) and Sandra (pronounced Saundra) went at it on the set of a photo shoot!  They almost came to blows! The incident caused Angelea to totally screw up her shoot and she was eliminated. Sandra made it on to the next round and was involved in yet another incident at the house when she was left without a bed to sleep in. What’s up ladies? Let’s show some class!

Recession turns Shopaholics into Swapaholics

With the current economic situation, it’s no surprise that many shop-a-holics are being forced to shop-less.

Trading parties are becoming increasing popular (think Confessions of a Shopaholic). The boutique meets auction type social events are the fastest way to get your hands on new clothes (like the shirt your co-worker has that you secretly covet), or even a few bucks. Host one of your own. You’ll need invitations, hangers, a couple of clothing racks and tables, food and drinks. Oh, and your most trendy associates.

 

Tell your guests to bring their coolest, gently used clothes, shoes and accessories that they no longer wear (like the sandals your best friend bought 3 years ago that she just had to have, but never found anything to go with) and that they’ll be able to exchange them for new ones at the party. There are several ways to conduct the swap. As your guests arrive, have them hang and display their goods boutique style and once everyone has arrived, start shopping. Or, allow each guest to present pieces of their own clothing, auction style, and the item goes to the highest bidder. Either way, it’s a win-win situation for everyone. You get rid of stuff you’re not wearing and get new stuff without spending a fortune or even setting foot in a mall! And, anything leftover can be donated to charity.

Read My Lips!

I wanted a space where I could make a big fuss, say what I’m thinking, further discuss what I and my friends are talking about, or, not. Call it two-faced, gossiping, drama-queen-ish, whatever. Here it is. 

CAUTION: read at your own risk. What you’ll find is a whole lot of talk about fashion (or anything else that I find just plain fabulous). Because I love it. It’s always on my mind. Or, talk about any of the 50 catrillion thoughts that cross my mind at any given time, which will often include, but will not be limited to my opinion on something someone else said or did.  The truth hurts. So, I’m not always inclined to say such things out loud, cause I’m a lady.  But, here is where I will exercise my freedom of expression.
